Pending full final results, five legislative candidates were elected in the first round on Sunday, June 12:
This level of deputies elected in the first round is already a little higher than in 2017 (four elected), which was exceptionally low compared to the polls of 2012 (thirty-six) and 2007 (one hundred and ten).
This low number of “primo-elected” can be explained in part by the high abstention and by the threshold to be crossed: to be exempted from a second round, it is indeed necessary to exceed 50% of the votes cast but also 25 % of voters registered on the electoral lists of the constituency, a level difficult to expect in the event of low turnout.
