“Storms are currently rising over the Paris basin, with temporarily sustained rain. Other, more organized thunderstorms currently concern Mayenne and Sarthe and are moving up towards areas with orange vigilance, ”continues the official meteorological service.
“These locally violent thunderstorms cross the zone in orange vigilance, from west to east between the end of the morning and the end of the afternoon”, adds the establishment. “These thunderstorms can occasionally be accompanied by violent gusts of wind that can exceed 100 km/h. The electrical activity is sometimes strong. Rainfall accumulations are locally significant over short periods, sometimes with 10 mm to 30 mm in less than an hour. Hail is also possible. »
