Wind, rain, hail and strong electrical activity, no respite on the bad weather front. Storms are expected, Saturday June 25, in the afternoon, in fifteen departments located in the Grand Est, in Lorraine, in Champagne, in Burgundy or in Auvergne, placed in orange vigilance by Météo-France.
The departments concerned are Allier, Ardennes, Aube, Côte-d’Or, Loire, Marne, Haute-Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Nièvre, Puy-de-Dôme, Saône-et-Loire, Vosges and Yonne.
“Territories already heavily impacted by previous storms”
Météo-France predicts a “stormy summer situation which requires particular vigilance given the risk of violent phenomena in territories already strongly impacted by previous storms”. Gusts “often between 80 and 100 km / h” are expected, as well as “intense rain”, hailstorms and strong electrical activity.
Elsewhere in the territory, “a disturbance undulates from New Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire north of the Seine”, with overcast and often rainy weather in these regions. Rainfall is temporarily sustained and sometimes mixed with a thunderclap, between the north of Aquitaine and the Centre-Val de Loire, then between the Center and Ile-de-France in the afternoon. In Brittany and Lower Normandy, clearings and clouds carrying showers alternate. Provence and the Côte d’Azur retain sunny weather despite overflowing clouds, with a few passing showers in Corsica.
