James Seyffart, a Bloomberg analyst, reported that the crypto futures ETF would list with the ticker symbol BITO as soon as October 18.
The United States Securities and Exchange Commission accepted ProShares’ Bitcoin Strategy Exchange ETF registration request. The shares will be listed on New York Stock Exchange’s Arca.
An Oct. 15 SEC notice stated that the agency has approved registration of securities from ProShares Trust’s Bitcoin ( BTC ) exchange-traded fund. This allows for exposure to the crypto asset through futures contracts. ProShares also filed a post-effective amend prospectus indicating that its ETF could be launched as soon as Oct. 18.
If the SEC approves the application, the assets will be listed on NYSE Arca. Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart reported ProShares Bitcoin Strategy Exchange Trust would be listed under the ticker symbol BITO, which is 95 basis points.
ProShares could be listed following the August withdrawal by of its application to an Ether ( /ETH) ETF. ProShares stated that it has not sold securities in connection to the potential offering at the time.
